Volunteering doesn’t always mean going there and helping with the animals. It also means donating blankets, empty ice-cream tins, sharing posts on your Facebook, or if you have homemade doggie treats or can make blankets, give them to the shelters and let them sell it. You can even go through the cupboards and find old stuff you want to throw out. Old towels? Rather than throwing them out give them to the shelters they help shelter dogs or when they do rescues they always come in handy. Yes, we know that there are so many things out there that we need to give our attention too. I also started with only giving useful things to TAG, such as old clothes, books and blankets. Take the first step and if you love it, it will continue to grow into something wonderful.
