About Why We Do What We Do:

The A.I.D website and Facebook page was started when my, "bestest" best friend Goofy passed away from kidney failure. This was not all he suffered from; he had a heart murmur which he lived with for 3 years this was treated by all types of medication, and he had one eye. This was caused by dogs attacking him. But through all this, he still loved to play with his ball and still lived a happy ‘normal’ life. He taught me so much, everything will be okay in the end and you don’t have to always fight, going through life. Eat, sleep and play, this will make your life happy. In our Hooman world, this will apply if we sleep more, worry less and try our best every day.

So to keep his memory alive, I had decided to start A.I.D and try to help shelters all across South Africa. We want to use this platform to share all the shelters needs and also if animals need to be rehomed.  Rehome doesn’t always mean you rescue a dog or cat, but sometimes in return, you rescue yourself. We also want to help shelters with donations for vet bills, food and blankets. It’s really hard to see the ‘voiceless’ suffer at the hands of those that should be loving them. Rather be the voice to those that are voiceless.
